Volunteer Role Summary
The Hospice Volunteer provides non-medical support to hospice patients and their families. Volunteers help improve quality of life through companionship, conversation, and emotional support while assisting the hospice care team with various supportive activities.
Volunteer Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Caregiving and empathetic personality
- Ability to listen and provide emotional support
- Reliable and committed to volunteer service
- Ability to respect patient privacy and confidentiality
- Completion of hospice volunteer training provided by Health Care Connectors
