About the role
Provides spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and members of the Hospice Team.
Responsibilities
- Provides spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and members of the Hospice Team.
Requirements
- One (1) year experience in pastoral/spiritual counseling with issues relating to illness, death, grief and bereavement
- Minimum two (2) units of Clinical Pastoral education, credentialed Chaplain or Board Certified Chaplain preferred
- Recognition as a Pastoral or Spiritual Counselor
- Absolutely at least one (1) year of hospice experience preferred
- Ability to minister to patient/family from diverse cultures and beliefs in their own homes
- Works as members of an interdisciplinary team
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate Degree required; Masters preferred
Skills
- Must have a valid driver's license
- A vehicle is required to commute to patients
