About the role

As a Spiritual Care Counselor at Vivie, you will provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and families, serve as a resource and liaison, participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, offer crisis intervention and bereavement support, and document and maintain patient care plans.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prayer, life review, and counseling to patients and families, adapting care to individual beliefs and preferences.
  • Serve as a Resource & Liaison, building relationships with community clergy and connecting patients with spiritual care services as needed.
  • Participate in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings to collaborate with hospice staff in integrating spiritual care into patient-centered care plans.
  • Offer Crisis Intervention & Bereavement Support, assisting families and caregivers through grief, trauma, and stress with compassionate guidance during difficult times.
  • Document & Maintain Patient Care Plans, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient needs, interventions, and family support efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, focusing on exceptional interpersonal and listening skills, strong oral and written communication, ability to work with diverse beliefs, emotional intelligence, valid driver's license, and physical capability to perform all essential job functions.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and access to an insured personal vehicle.
  • Ability to pass state mandated background check.

Pay & Schedule

  • Pay Range: $22.00/hr. to $25.00/hr. based on experience, qualifications, and location.
  • Schedule: Part Time – 20 hours/pay period – Monday to Friday – 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
