Hospice Social Worker - MSW
About the role
Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Hospice Social Worker - MSW. The Hospice Social Worker - MSW performs a variety of casework and provides social work services to patients, families, and significant others. Must develop and monitor multidisciplinary collaboration of services to patients where appropriate. Assist adult patients and their families with personal and environmental difficulties associated with medical condition up to and including at time of terminal illnesses.
Responsibilities
The role involves using interviewing techniques and skills for conducting group sessions. The position is anticipated to be full time, 40 hours a week, on the day shift from 8AM-5PM.
Requirements
- Master's Level Degree in Social Work (Required)
- BLS (Required within 90 days of hire)
- Valid Driver's License (Required)
- Previous experience in Hospice, Home Health, Social Work, and Group Social/Rec Program (all required)

Pay
Pay Range: $25.60 - $42/hour. Sentara Health provides market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, mileage reimbursement and benefits.
Schedule
Full Time (40 hours/week) Day Shift (8AM-5PM)
