This role ensures accurate and timely billing in accordance with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and regulatory requirements while maximizing revenue cycle performance.

What You Will Do...

  • Onboarding of new clients including initial inventory evaluation, reviewing account setup, communicating client responsibilities, and reinforcing expectations to client.
  • Performing daily Hospice billing and posting activities for all assigned clients.
  • Performing accounts receivable analysis for all clients to maximize client cash flow.
  • Reviewing pre-billing activities in client software to identify potential risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Processing monthly invoices and reviewing for accuracy.
  • Engaging clients to ensure appropriate communications are maintained.
  • Entering and responding to Help Desk service tickets.
  • Maintain compliance with CMS regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and hospice billing standards.
  • Staying current on changes in hospice reimbursement regulations and payer requirements.
  • Providing suggestions for process, systems and service improvements.

What You Bring...

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of Hospice billing experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Clearinghouses, Black Screen/DDE required.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare Hospice billing regulations and reimbursement.
  • Understanding of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, and UB-04 claim forms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and leadership abilities.
  • Detailed-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Legal authorization to work in and currently reside in the United States.
