About the Role
As the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Hospice, you are responsible for providing quality patient care and performing technical skilled care in the patient's home. This role is part of Northern Arizona Hospice, a division of LHC Group and a member of the Optum family of businesses, dedicated to helping people feel their best.
Responsibilities
- Performs skilled nursing services under the supervision of a staff RN daily.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments as permitted by state regulations.
- Assists the physician and/or staff RN in performing specialized procedures as needed.
- Assists the patient with daily activities and encourages appropriate self-care daily.
- Reports to the patient's physician and other appropriate personnel regarding pertinent changes in the patient's condition as needed.
- Performs complex wound care if in-service is documented for specific procedure daily or as needed.
Requirements
- Current and unrestricted LPN licensure in state of practice.
- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
- Hospice experience.

Pay
The hourly pay for this role will range from $25.20 to $37.80 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
