About the role
We are a well-established hospice company looking to add to our team. Preferred Hospice has 5 offices across the state of Missouri, serving over 65 counties. We are currently looking for experienced Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team in Farmington, MO.
Responsibilities
- Assist the patient, family and caregiver in coping with issues related to death and dying.
- Perform head-to-toe assessment and vital sign check on all assigned patients for the day.
- Occasionally provide personal care, bathing, dressing, etc to the patient.
- Communicate effectively with all hospice staff and provide all support as needed.
- Provide nursing care, symptom management, and emotional support to the patient, family, and caregivers.
- Provide education to the patient, family, and caregivers.
Qualifications
- The successful candidate must be currently licensed in the State of Missouri as an LPN and live within a commutable distance to the office.
- Reliable transportation and car insurance required.
