Hospice Insurance Billing Specialist
Job Description
Demonstrate commitment to the Paradigm Health mission, vision and core values through your daily job performance
Process all Medicare Hospice Notices (NOE/NOTR) promptly and follow up to confirm acceptance within the required timeline
Collaborate with the Intake team to verify patient benefits and consents, addressing potential issues prior to admission
Assist with audit of daily admissions and discharges. Daily completion of Medicare billing audit and claims submission processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with CMS requirements
Monitor and reconcile Medicare hospice claims daily; troubleshoot rejections, make timely corrections, and resolve issues to prevent payment delays

Requirements
- Medical Billing experience is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- Flexible, organized, and exercises sound judgment
- Meticulous attention to detail, claims accuracy, and compliance
- Excellent time-management
- 2-3 years Medicare hospice billing experience strongly preferred
- Associate’s degree, healthcare billing certification, or equivalent hospice billing experience preferred
Qualifications
Medical Billing experience is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

Excellent time-management
2-3 years Medicare hospice billing experience strongly preferred
