Hospice CNA

About the Role

We are seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team at the Dexter office, serving patients across Missouri. This role is vital to our interdisciplinary team, providing compassionate personal care to patients facing terminal illness, including sitting with patients for caregiver relief and during their final hours. Flexibility with scheduling is essential.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with nurses, social workers, chaplains, physicians, and volunteers to deliver high-quality hospice care.
• Provide superior personal care to patients in accordance with the comprehensive nursing care plan as directed by the RN.
• Uphold and protect patient and caregiver rights and privacy at all times.
• Maintain a pleasant, courteous, and professional attitude toward clients, the public, and nursing home staff.
• Make visits to patients wherever they reside—private homes, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, or hospitals.
• Document all visits in the electronic medical record (EMR) promptly and accurately.
• Provide patient sitting services for caregiver relief and during the last hours of life.

Schedule

• Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional after-hours needs.
• Flexibility with scheduling and hours is required.

Requirements

• Current, active CNA license in the state of Missouri.
• Proficiency with computers and smartphones for EMR charting, email, and mileage computation apps.

Pay

Competitive hourly rate plus mileage reimbursement.
