Hospice CNA

About the role

Regional Hospice is a well‑established hospice company with three offices covering the southwest corner of Missouri (Lebanon, Springfield, and Joplin). We are seeking CNAs to work out of the Joplin office. Preference is for full‑time positions, but part‑time and PRN schedules will be considered. Benefits are available for full‑time employees.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with nurses, social workers, chaplains, physicians, and volunteers to provide high quality hospice care.
• Provides high quality personal care to patients facing a terminal illness.
• Follows through with the comprehensive nursing care plan as instructed by the RN.
• Protects and respects patient and caregiver rights and privacy at all times.
• Displays pleasant, courteous, professional attitude toward clients, the general public, and nursing home staff at all times.
• Makes visits wherever the patient resides—private home, skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility, or hospital.
• Documents all visits in the electronic medical record in a timely fashion.
• Sits with patients for caregiver relief and through the last hours of life.

Schedule

Work hours are primarily Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional after‑hours needs. Flexibility with scheduling and hours is required.

Qualifications

Must have a current, active CNA license in the state of Missouri.

Skills

Computer and smartphone skills for EMR charting, email, and apps for mileage computation, etc.
