Hospice CNA

This is an on-the-road position that requires the candidate to have an insured vehicle and be willing to travel throughout Franklin County.

Pay

$22–$24 an hour, paid weekly.

Schedule

3 days a week, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

About the role

You perform various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient’s personal needs and to promote comfort. The hospice aide is responsible for observing the patient, reporting these observations, and documenting observations and care performed.

Requirements

• Active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant license in this state.
• Comfortable working in patients’ settings (skilled nursing, hospitals, homes, etc.).
• At least one year of experience as a CNA.
• Up to date with COVID and flu vaccinations, or acknowledge a declination of the vaccination(s).

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care needs per plan of care, including bathing, feeding, and dressing.
• Provide patients and families with a positive communication chain and a friendly, professional environment.
• Meet the safety needs of the patient using equipment safely and properly.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals, including shopping, as assigned.
• Take and record oral, rectal, and auxiliary temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency.
• Provide proper care and observation of the patient’s skin.
• Assess and report on the patient’s condition and significant changes to the Case Manager.
• Assist in ambulation and exercise as instructed by the hospice nurse or therapist.
• Provide normal range of motion and transfers/positioning as directed.
