Position

The Clinical Manager of Support Services is responsible for overseeing hospice support services for SW, CH, MU, MA and other areas as assigned.

Qualifications

  • LICSW
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with hospice patients and families
  • Experience in supervision of professionals and administrative team members
  • Experience in teaching, training, and evaluating clinical staff
  • Experience in customer service

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and oversees all direct and indirect patient services provided by SW, CH, MU and MA personnel
  • Provides guidance and counseling to TC's, SW, CH, MU and MA personnel to assist them in continually improving all aspects of hospice care services
  • Assures compliance with all local, state and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of organization personnel and maintains compliance to Lifespark Hospice Standards
  • Manages SW, CH, MU, MA and planning
  • Provides help in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient and family caregiver care to all personnel as indicated
  • Oversees and maintains patient clinical records, statistics, reports and records for purposes of evaluation and reporting of organization activities
  • Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws
  • Responsible for maintenance of adequate and appropriate inventory supplies and equipment for provision of services
  • Interprets operational indicators to detect census changes and increases or decreases in volume, which could impact staffing levels, revenues or expenses
  • Evaluates performance of clinical team
  • Develops skills and techniques in evaluating the performance of clinicians
  • Hires, evaluates and terminates organization personnel
  • Conduct clinical performance evaluations annually or more frequently if indicated
  • Plans and implements in-service and continuing education programs to meet education and training needs of the team
  • Affirms for the quality and safe delivery of home health services provided through the organization
  • Develops, implements and evaluates the orientation program for new personnel
  • Assists in organization goals
  • Develops, recommends and administers policies and procedures
  • Stays informed about changes in the field of nursing and hospice, shares information with appropriate people
  • Promotes hospice referrals in the community
  • Manage safety concerns of clients and clinicians, escalating when appropriate

Schedule

1.0 FTE, Full Time / Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (weekend rotation is every 4-5th and holiday and on-call rotation)

Pay

$100,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on experience
