Responsibilities
- Implement and coordinate all activities of the spiritual services program and the delivery of spiritual services to patients and their families.
- Provide support to the bereavement program with the provision of spiritual support to the patient and their family, aligned with personal desires, belief systems, and Enhabit policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be an individual who, by ordination or by ecclesiastical endorsement from the individual's denomination, has been approved to function in a pastoral capacity.
- Must have demonstrated experience in working with patients and families dealing with life-threatening illness and death.
- Must have basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device.
- Training in clinical pastoral education (CPE), meeting the requirements for the College of Chaplains, may be considered in lieu of ordination or endorsement.
State-Specific Requirements
- Georgia: One unit of CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) from a nationally recognized provider is required.
- Illinois: One year of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting is required.
- Missouri: One unit of CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) from the College of Chaplains is required.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
- Must maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law.
- Must maintain dependable transportation in good working condition.
- Must be able to safely drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions.
