The Hospice Chaplain provides spiritual, emotional, and bereavement support to patients and their families, respecting each individual's beliefs, values, and cultural traditions. The Chaplain collaborates with the interdisciplinary hospice team to ensure holistic, patient-centered care throughout the end-of-life journey. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Theology, Divinity, Pastoral Care, Religious Studies, or a related field (Master of Divinity preferred)Ordination, ecclesiastical endorsement, or equivalent recognized by the applicant's faith tradition, if applicableExperience providing spiritual care in hospice, home health, hospital, or healthcare settings preferredKnowledge of end-of-life care, grief, bereavement, and hospice philosophyExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team What You’ll Do Provide spiritual assessments for hospice patients and their families based on individual beliefs, values, and preferencesDevelop and implement individualized spiritual care plans as part of the interdisciplinary plan of careOffer spiritual counseling, prayer, rituals, and other faith-based or non-denominational support as requestedProvide emotional support and guidance to patients, families, and caregivers coping with serious illness and end-of-life issuesAssist patients and families in finding meaning, hope, comfort, and peace during the hospice journeyParticipate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with nurses, social workers, physicians, and other hospice staffProvide bereavement support and resources to families before and after a patient's passingDocument spiritual care visits and maintain accurate, timely patient records in accordance with hospice regulationsSupport hospice staff through education, consultation, and compassionate presence when neededMaintain patient confidentiality and comply with all organizational policies and regulatory requirements Compensation Hourly Rate $30 - $40 an hour Apply Today!
