About the role
Provides spiritual counseling services that support the patient's ability to achieve the goals outlined in the Plan of Care. Spiritual care is delivered in a manner that respects and aligns with the patient's spiritual beliefs, religious preferences, cultural background, customs, and ethnicity. This role operates under the direction of the physician and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, ensuring all care adheres to the Agency's established policies, procedures, and standards of practice. Upholds core values of Character, Experience, and Trust, emphasizing confidentiality and compassionate care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver spiritual counseling aligned with the patient’s Plan of Care.
- Respect and integrate the patient’s spiritual beliefs, religious preferences, cultural background, customs, and ethnicity.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team under physician direction.
- Maintain confidentiality and compassionate care in accordance with Aegis values.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in counseling, theology, divinity, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience preferred.
- Master of Divinity (desired).
- Experience with death and dying, grief response, and counseling individuals or groups regarding loss.
- Knowledge and commitment to Hospice philosophy.
- Valid AZ Driver’s License, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle.
- Proof of current auto insurance.
- Valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Current CPR Certification & Proof of Negative TB Test.

Pay
$25–$28 per hour (DOE).
