Certified Pet Therapy Volunteers Needed
- Provide comfort and connection to hospice patients and their families.
- Reduce stress and anxiety, and increase feelings of joy, warmth, and connection.
- Must have a certified pet therapy animal.
- All pet companions must be certified in pet therapy and have up-to-date immunizations and health records.
Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license and automotive insurance, if traveling to make patient visits.
- Successful completion of a background check is required.
- Volunteers are not paid employees and do not receive compensation for their time.
- Currently assisting individuals in the Chicago Western Suburbs.
