• Certified Pet Therapy Volunteers Needed — Do you have a certified pet therapy animal and want to share your time and compassion with others? Certified therapy animals provide a healing presence to our end-of-life patients by reducing stress and anxiety and increasing feelings of joy, warmth, and connection.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license and automotive insurance, if traveling to make patient visits.
• Successful completion of a background check is required.
• All pet companions must be certified in pet therapy and have up-to-date immunizations and health records.

Qualifications

• Volunteers are not paid employees and do not receive compensation for their time.
• Currently assisting individuals in the Chicago Western Suburbs.
