Hospice Care Consultant

About the role

Brighton/Suncrest Hospice is changing the expectation of hospice care by providing exceptional care and service to patients. We allocate resources to increase staff-to-patient ratios, increasing clinical visits while lowering clinician caseloads. As a CHAP-certified hospice, we seek candidates committed to delivering the highest quality of care to patients and their families.

The Hospice Care Consultant will interact with physicians, hospitals, and community partners to ensure continued delivery of care throughout the service area. Candidates should feel confident as self-starters and working within an interdisciplinary team of skilled hospice professionals.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with current and potential referral and payer sources
• Build and monitor community, customer, payer, and patient perceptions of the organization
• Assist in strategic planning to identify opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs
• Maintain comprehensive working knowledge in the field of marketing
• Maintain comprehensive working knowledge of Suncrest Hospice markets
• Market aggressively while maintaining positive industry relationships
• Demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, and public relations skills
• Work independently and build/maintain relationships with referral sources
• Drive with reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance

Requirements

• Extensive experience in healthcare sales, especially home care and/or hospice
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Strong relationship-building skills with referral sources
