Hospice Care Consultant

About the role

Brighton/Suncrest Hospice is changing the expectation of hospice care by providing exceptional care and service to patients. We achieve this by increasing staff-to-patient ratios, which allows for more clinical visits and lower clinician caseloads. As a Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP) certified hospice, we seek candidates committed to delivering the highest quality of care to patients and their families.

The Hospice Care Consultant will interact with physicians, hospitals, and community partners to ensure continued delivery of care. Candidates should be confident self-starters and able to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of skilled hospice professionals.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with current and potential referral and payer sources
• Build and monitor community, customer, payer, and patient perceptions of the organization
• Assist in strategic planning to identify opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs
• Maintain comprehensive working knowledge in the field of marketing and Suncrest Hospice markets
• Market aggressively while maintaining positive industry relationships
• Demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, and public relations skills
• Work independently and build relationships with referral sources
• Drive with reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance

Requirements

• Extensive experience in healthcare sales, especially home care and/or hospice
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Willingness to drive with reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
