About the Role
This inpatient palliative care physician position requires providing comprehensive consultations for adult patients, supervising a Nurse Practitioner, and documenting care using the Cerner EMR system. The role involves evaluating 2-3 new cases and following up on existing patients, with a caseload of 3-6 patients per day.
Responsibilities
- Deliver inpatient palliative care consultations and oversee Nurse Practitioner supervision
- Maintain accurate documentation within the Cerner EMR system
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a hospital setting
Requirements
- Board Certified and fellowship-trained in Palliative Care
- Recent clinical experience within the past 12 months
- Ability to evaluate adult patients and manage inpatient consultations
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with no call or holiday duties.
Work Environment
The position involves supervising a Nurse Practitioner and managing a caseload in a modern hospital equipped with Cerner EMR. Credentialing requires 60-90 days, with emergency privileges available for qualified candidates.
