Hospice Aide (CNA) – Full-Time

Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene, and skin care as assigned
- Absist with ambulation, transfers, repositioning, and range-of-motion exercises as directed
- Observe and report changes in patient physical or emotional condition to the supervising nurse
- Absist with meals, feeding, and hydration support according to the plan of care
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and respectful presence to promote comfort and dignity
- Take and record vital signs when trained and directed by the nurse
- Maintain a clean and safe care environment, including light housekeeping related to patient care
- Provide short-term respite support to family caregivers during scheduled visits when appropriate
- Document care provided accurately and timely in accordance with agency policy
- Follow standard precautions, infection control practices, and HIPAA privacy requirements
- Participate in team meetings and required in-service training sessions
- Deliver care in any setting where the patient resides, including private homes and licensed facilities
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Support in this role: Dallas, Texas and Surrounding Counties.
- Active certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing with completion of a state-approved training program
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to read, follow, and document written care instructions accurately
- Understanding of hospice philosophy and the needs of terminally ill individuals
- Ability to work in home and facility settings with reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Demonstrated empathy, sensitivity, and ability to support patients and families from diverse backgrounds
