Horticulture Adjunct Instructor "Pool"

Adjunct Faculty positions (temporary, part‑time) are being recruited to teach at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or at one of the college’s six county centers in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick. Opportunities may include daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses offered at local high schools. Applications are reviewed on an as‑needed basis as teaching opportunities become available.

Responsibilities

• Teach a diverse student body in accordance with established syllabi at various locations.
• Utilize instructional technology and apply a variety of effective teaching methods.
• Plan, manage, and deliver course instruction.
• Follow all EPA and OSHA regulations that pertain to the program.
• Participate in college functions as needed.
• Apply teaching practices that support continuous improvement of both the program and the college.
• Serve as a professional team member who supports the mission and vision of the college while performing duties with the highest level of quality and service.

Minimum Requirements

• An associate or bachelor's degree in a horticulture‑related discipline.
• At least two (2) years of work experience in a horticulture or landscape‑related position.

Preferred Qualifications

• A master's degree in a horticulture‑related discipline.
• A minimum of five (5) years of work experience in a horticulture or landscape‑related position.
