Agriculture Adjunct Instructor "Pool"
Job Responsibilities
Adjunct instructors may teach at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or at one of the college’s six county centers located in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick. Opportunities may include daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses offered at local high schools. Applications will be reviewed on an as-needed basis as teaching opportunities become available.
- Teach a diverse student body in accordance with established syllabi at various locations
- Utilize instructional technology
- Apply a variety of effective teaching methods
- Plan, manage, and deliver course instruction
- Follow all EPA and OSHA regulations that pertain to the program
- Participate in college functions as needed
- Apply teaching practices that support the continuous improvement of both the program and the college
- Serve as professional team members who support the mission and vision of the college while performing duties with the highest level of quality and service
Minimum And Additional Requirements
An associate or bachelor's degree in an agriculture-related discipline is required, along with two (2) years of work experience in an agriculture-related position.
Preferred Qualifications
A master's degree in an agriculture-related discipline and a minimum of five (5) years of work experience in an agriculture-related position are preferred.
