Horizontal Grinder / Forestry Mower Operator with a Class A CDL

About The Job

We are looking for a reliable Horizontal Grinder / Forestry Mower Operator to join our team. This position requires the candidate to drive and operate equipment such as log truck (with grapple), skid steers, and Fecon Track Machine (with attachments—specifically brush mower), etc.

Responsibilities

• Transport and operate a diverse range of equipment which are essential for the clearing, cutting, and grinding of trees and brush, as well as grinding stumps and creating mulch.
• Utilize organizational and communication skills to assure all tools and equipment are in good working order and are available at the job site.
• Maintain equipment in proper operating condition by performing simple preventative maintenance and repair tasks such as: making adjustments, replacing minor parts, washing, and lubricating equipment.
• Keep accurate written records of inspections and maintenance.
• Operate equipment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Remove trees and brush using the above-listed equipment in a safe manner.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors as your year-round office.
• Proficient in operating various heavy equipment.
• CLASS A CDL.
• Strong attention to safety protocols and compliance.
• Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask.
• A high standard of excellence whether working independently or within team environments.
• Capable of conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Clear oral and written communication with management and clients.
• Promotes and maintains good customer and public relations through effective completion of assigned work and professionalism.
• Comfortable running a variety of equipment and learning in machinery.
