Responsibilities
- Carry out one-hour workshops on life skills such as public speaking, concentration, and feedback for a cohort of 15–20 K–12 learners, leveraging gt.school's curriculum alongside your own academic background
- Facilitate personalized motivation sessions that utilize Coachbot analytics to monitor each student's learning app progress relative to their individual goals
- Administer Test2Pass assessments based on mastery criteria to validate student skill acquisition
- Adjust delivery dynamically through storytelling, personal credibility, and AI-enhanced instruction to maintain challenge and engagement for gifted students
- Maintain progress toward 100% goal-completion rates and 95% student satisfaction targets
Requirements
- Willingness to work on-site in Austin (Georgetown), TX
- Bachelor's degree from a top-tier institution (Ivy League or comparable)
- Proven record of academic distinction (e.g., National Merit Finalist, academic Olympiad medalist, or early college graduation)
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in coaching, mentoring, or teaching students
- At least one elite academic credential: distinguished fellowship or scholarship (Rhodes, Fulbright, NSF GRFP, Gates), PhD, Mensa or Triple Nine Society membership, or experience teaching at the university level
- Daily self-reported use of generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar)
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Master's degree from a highly ranked research institution
- Experience as a competitor or coach in rigorous academic programs (MATHCOUNTS, Science Olympiad, national debate, or similar)
- Track record coaching high-performing students toward exceptional outcomes (elite college admissions, fellowship applications, competitive examinations)
- Background in cognitive science, educational psychology, or gifted and talented (GT) education

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
