About the role

Norm Reeves Dealerships is a nationally-recognized group of privately-owned retail automotive dealerships located in Southern California, Texas, and Florida. Established in 1963, the group is known for its innovation, integrity, and customer-centric services. We are currently expanding and are seeking a Parts Counter Associate to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials, ensuring they are exposed to the full product line
• Notify Parts Manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders if necessary
• Notify Service Advisor when special order parts are received
• Follow-up on back-ordered parts
• On a weekly basis, verify will-call and back-order files as well as vendor returns, and stock items not picked up
• Aid outside sales representatives with their orders
• Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders
• Maintain organized records of repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special-order parts
• Aid Parts Manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking program

Requirements

• Previous parts sales experience and a strong desire to continuously learn
• Dealership experience is a plus
• Full-time availability
• At least 18 years old
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Excellent follow-up skills, frequently communicating inventory and availability of parts
• A professional appearance and work ethic
• Excellent organizational skills
• The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
