About the role

Right At Home In Home Care, located in Wallingford CT, is currently seeking Homemakers/Home Health Aides for jobs in the Middle CT area. Targeted areas include Wallingford, Meriden, Middletown, Southington, Cheshire, Waterbury, Naugatuck, Watertown, Woodbury and surrounding areas. Great opportunity for high school seniors, college students, retirees, and veterans.

Responsibilities

• Assistance with eating, personal hygiene, dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, laundry, and other household chores
• Medication reminders and assistance with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care and companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
• Meal preparation and kitchen assistance

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a full employment background check
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate with little assistance

Nice to Have

• CNA or HHA Certification
• 6 months of experience as a Caregiver/Home Health Aide in healthcare
• COVID-19 vaccination
• CPR and First Aid Certification

$17.50 – $22.00 per hour
