Homeless Street Outreach Specialist

About the role

The Homeless Street Outreach Specialist is responsible for providing direct services to individuals experiencing homelessness, including outreach, case management, and coordination of resources.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach to identify and engage individuals experiencing homelessness
• Provide case management services to help individuals access housing, healthcare, and other essential services
• Coordinate with community partners to ensure seamless service delivery
• Document interactions and progress with clients in accordance with agency policies
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss client needs and service improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, or related field
• At least 2 years of experience working with homeless populations
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

• Knowledge of local homeless services and resources
• Experience with data entry and record-keeping
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

$20 - $25 per hour

Schedule

Mondays through Fridays, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
