Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to support the operation of the shelter site and support people experiencing homelessness who are utilizing the shelter service.

Responsibilities:

• Support the operation of the shelter site and help meet the needs of persons experiencing homelessness who are staying at the shelter.
• This position is responsible for the tasks involved in operating the shelter site, including:
• Setting up and breaking down the shelter site daily, including placement of mats/cots, cleaning of mats/cots, moving and inventorying shelter supplies, etc.
• Assisting with the shelter intake processes, including data collection and data entry into the County’s Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)
• Assisting with the coordination of transportation services to and/or from the shelter site.
