Homecare Reimbursement Specialist
About the role
The Home Care Reimbursement Specialist under the direction of the Supervisor Administrative Services determines and obtains the appropriate funding for each episode through insurance verification and authorization, Medicare and Medicaid eligibility checks, and verifying that criteria are met for reimbursement. This position is responsible for referral and authorization data entry into the system, reauthorization of services, and data entry of orders and medications, including OASIS entry for paper clinicians.
Responsibilities
- Determines and obtains appropriate funding for each episode through insurance verification and authorization
- Performs Medicare and Medicaid eligibility checks
- Verifies that criteria are met for reimbursement
- Responsible for referral and authorization data entry into the system
- Responsible for reauthorization of services
- Responsible for data entry of orders, medications, and OASIS entry for paper clinicians

- Applicable Experience: 1 year Family Care Safety Registry - Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services
