About the role

Under the direction of the assigned administrator, safely operates a designated school vehicle to transport students safely and efficiently to and from school over designated routes. Assists in the loading and unloading of physically and mentally disabled students. A designated school vehicle does not require the transporter to possess a Special Drivers Certificate (DL 45), passenger endorsement, Commercial Driver’s License, or to operate any vehicle with air brakes. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Resume
• One (1) Letter of Recommendation with signature
• High School Diploma (accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education) or Equivalent
• Desirable experience: Experience driving students and/or groups of individuals
• Maintain valid California Driver’s License
• Maintain District‑insurable driving record
• Maintain valid First Aid and CPR Certification
• Shall be placed on the random drug testing pool
• TB Clearance (pre‑employment, at employee cost)
• Fingerprinting (pre‑employment, at employee cost)
• Preference given to inside candidates
