Home Organizing Consultant

About the role

Organize with Jess is seeking a part-time Home Organizing Consultant to support clients in creating functional, clean, and organized living spaces. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, is comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, and can handle hands-on organizing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Visit clients’ homes to provide organizing services (tasks may include sorting, labeling, packing, and arranging items).
• Lift and move household items as needed, including heavier objects.
• Navigate stairs and work in multi-level homes.
• Perform physical tasks that may include working in attics or other storage spaces, reaching, bending, and crouching.
• Sort, carry, and transport items to donation, recycling, or storage areas as directed.
• Maintain a professional, respectful presence in clients’ homes.
• Follow company processes, safety guidelines, and job checklists.
• Communicate clearly with the lead organizer regarding progress, needs, and job status.

Required Availability

• Must be available Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM.
• Hours are not guaranteed and may vary based on client scheduling and service needs.

Physical Requirements

• This position requires the ability to perform physical work, including:
• Lifting and carrying heavy objects (as required by job tasks)
• Going up and down stairs
• Working outside (weather permitting and as needed by assignments)
• Reaching and working in attics and other tight storage spaces
• Prolonged standing, bending, and moving items

Qualifications

• Prior experience in home organizing, moving, cleaning, staging, or related hands-on work preferred (not required).
• Reliable transportation to client locations.
• Strong attention to detail and an ability to follow direction and processes.
• Comfortable working in clients’ private spaces and handling possessions respectfully.
• Ability to arrive on time and maintain consistent availability.
