Home Office Underwriting Manager - Contract Surety

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate underwriting expertise and decision-making skills
• Support regional sales and service objectives
• Monitor implementation of underwriting guidelines and operational efficiencies
• Analyze complex underwriting information and risk
• Manage a portfolio autonomously
• Develop territory strategies for regional offices
• Serve as a referral underwriter for regional teams
• Negotiate effectively for win/win outcomes
• Co-travel to meet clients and understand their needs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 8+ years of Contract Surety underwriting experience
• Proven relationship-building skills with stakeholders
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Independent, resilient self-starter
• Solid time and desk management expertise
• Goal-oriented with a competitive spirit
• Extensive technical knowledge in Surety underwriting

$112,800 – $205,200 annually
