Home Medication Info Tech

Responsibilities

Works under the direction of the Home Medication Information RN to help provide indirect patient care by ensuring that the home medication information process is completed per Policy.

This is a resource to staff at the time of admission or as needed to obtain the best list possible of home medications taken by patient.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• 1 year of experience in a retail pharmacy setting Required
• Hospital pharmacy experience Preferred
• IV admixture experience Preferred
• IV chemotherapy preparation experience Preferred
• LPT - Licensed Pharmacy Tech Registration (current) with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required
• ORPI - Reg Pharmacy Intern Registration (current) with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern Upon Hire Required
• PTCB Certification Preferred
