Responsibilities
- Support specialty pharmacy clients in Houghton, MI
- Provide care to patients and families living with rare diseases
- Ensure adherence to aseptic technique and patient safety
- Maintain strong interpersonal skills and communication with patients and families
- Perform peripheral IV infusions and infusion port procedures
- Adhere to professional standards and maintain necessary certifications
Requirements
- Training on disease state and drug will be provided; prior experience with rare disease therapies is preferred
- Proficiency in mixing medications in the patient’s home using aseptic technique
- Hands-on experience with peripheral IV infusions
- Familiarity with infusion ports is a plus
- Current CPR certification is required and must be maintained
- Demonstrated home infusion expertise, including patient safety and infection prevention practices
- Active licensure in good standing
- Eligibility to participate in Federal programs
- Current personal liability insurance
Qualifications
- Experience with rare disease therapies is preferred
- Hands-on experience with peripheral IV infusions
- Familiarity with infusion ports is a plus
