Home Infusion Nurse (RN) - St Petersburg/Pinellas Park

Responsibilities

• Administering intravenous (IV) infusions, intramuscular (IM) and/or subcutaneous (SC) injections in patients' homes
• Educating and informing patients about IV and SC therapies in person and by phone
• Working with patients in a friendly, calm, and efficient manner while maintaining safety
• Providing consultations to patients and/or family members, reviewing health history, reasons for therapy, and completing all required forms (i.e., consent, assessments, and nursing notes)
• Prepares clinical and progress notes, helps coordinate services, and informs the physician and other personnel of changes in the patient's conditions and needs
• Initiates appropriate preventative nursing procedures
• Working with our pharmacists to plan and order supplies
• Consulting with Prosper Infusion pharmacists and the Medical Director, as needed
• High ethics and integrity and able to work independently and with a team
• Adheres to all policies and procedures and maintains compliance at all times
• Assists with other services as needed
• Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner

Requirements

• Prior experience with administration of IV therapies and infusion pumps are required.
• Nurses are required to hold their own professional malpractice insurance for this role.
