About the role
LUX Infusion is seeking a Part-Time Per Diem Infusion Nurse to provide home infusion care. The role involves inserting, monitoring, and removing IVs, administering medications, and managing patient care. The schedule is per diem, and the location is in the Jackson, Wyoming area.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates the nursing process to schedule nursing visits and confirm scheduled visits with patients and nursing agencies.
- Coordinates SOC and ongoing nursing visits and sends the schedule via email to team members.
- Enters Therapy Admin reports and emails them to the relevant team members.
- Reviews nurses' notes for completeness and accuracy, ensuring necessary information is included.
- Communicates with families, supervisors, and field personnel about patient issues and needs.
- Communicates patient and employee information to answering services as needed.
- Communicates with referring doctors and MD offices as necessary.
- Coordinates staffing in a timely manner while maintaining confidentiality and ethics.
- Inserts intravenous cannulas, administers prescribed intravenous solutions, and monitors infusion sites.
- Prepares clinical records, care plans, and progress notes for each patient visit.
- Coordinates patient visit schedules and phone calls.
- Works in patients' homes and drives as assigned within the state.
Qualifications
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
- IV certification and experience in central line care and management.
- Current state RN license in the designated location.
- Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience.
- Valid state driver's license.
- CPR certification.
- Experience in home care, critical care, emergency nursing, AIC, or hospital discharge planning.
- Some experience in staffing and multitasking.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to travel to see patients in homes and other health care facilities.
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
Qualifications Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- RN license in another state.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements
- Provides professional nursing care within the department.
- Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
- Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care.
- Determines priorities of care based on physical, psychosocial needs of patients, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system.
- Communicates regarding changes in patient status, symptomatology results of diagnostic studies.
- Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Has excellent customer service skills.
- Develops caring relationships with patients and treats them with respect and empathy.
- Has medical-surgical experience or knowledge in phlebotomy and venous access.
- Can work independently and on a team.
- Teaches patients how to properly care for their IV or PICC line and communicates clearly while giving instructions.
- Can work under high levels of stress and handle critical situations in the home.
- Become proficient in all programs necessary for execution.
Pay Range/Rate
$45 - $60 USD

Other Requirements
- Participate annually in required legal and ethical compliance training.
