Job Requirements
- Evaluates and trains the dialysis facility’s home patients, care partners, and families for the home hemodialysis program.
- Exercises knowledge of patient rights and ensures an atmosphere that allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all patients in a safe, secure environment.
- Familiarity with hemodialysis equipment, procedures, and the knowledge preferred but not required.
- Registered Professional Nurse with current state licensure.
- Twelve (12) months of experience in nursing.
- Mets all applicable state/licensing requirements.
- Additional three (3) months of experience in the specific modality unless otherwise specified in specific state regulations.
- Documented training and experience in peritoneal dialysis and/or home hemodialysis and maintenance of the dialysis access preferred.
- Basic training certificates if less than one (1) year in this modality.
- Previous supervisory and teaching experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively with clients and fellow employees.
