Home Health Speech Language Pathologist - $39-59 per hour

About the role

Adventist Health Columbia Gorge in The Dalles, Oregon, is a 49-bed hospital with medical offices, home health, a birthing center, and a wide range of services throughout the region. The Dalles offers scenic Columbia River views, local charm, and dining options. This ongoing staff position starts ASAP and involves providing speech therapy services to patients with speech, language, or swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents speech therapy data related to patient assessments, patient care needs, interventions and outcomes.
• Identifies changes and trends throughout physical and emotional parameters.
• Reviews treatment plans and assesses individual performances to modify, change or write new programs.
• Maintains documentation as required by law, establishment policy and administrative regulation.
• Instructs patients on ways to monitor speech and practice new skills.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master's Degree or foreign equivalent (required)
• Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice (required)
• CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy (required)
• Valid Driver's License and age 21 or older (required)
• Facility‑specific certifications: AHA‑BLS, ARC‑BLS, AHA‑CPR, or ARC‑CPR (required)
• Oregon SLP licensure (OR‑SLP) (required)
• Washington SLP licensure (WA‑SLP) (required)
• American Speech‑Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) (preferred)
