About the Role
A Home Health Speech Language Pathologist provides personalized rehabilitation care to patients in their homes, focusing on improving speech, voice, language, hearing, and swallowing disorders. This role empowers patients to regain independence and improve quality of life through expert speech therapy in a home-based setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations and administer diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Document patient progress and adjust care as needed
- Collaborate with care teams to coordinate patient rehabilitation
- Provide patient and family instruction on communication strategies
- Offer counseling to support patient recovery
Requirements
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in North Carolina
- CPR certification
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Adherence to driver safety and TB screening protocols
- Preferred experience in home health settings
Pay
Compensation ranges from $49–$69 per visit, with estimated annual pay between $77,200 and $106,200.
