Home Health RN Administrator On-Call
About the role
The Administrator On-Call is a licensed RN who provides indirect patient care and support services to patients/caregivers that may call in after hours or weekends as well as provides support and oversight to weekend/on-call clinicals. This role supports quality patient care and customer services outside of normal business hours.
Responsibilities
- Provides patient and caregiver education relating to diagnosis, medications, infection control, and safety measures in accordance with the plan of care
- Administrative On Call after hours, weekends, and weekend holiday rotation
- Weekend Schedule hours: 8am - 5pm
- Weekend management oversight of productivity and admissions
- Weekend workflow support
- Communicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes
- Ensures compliance with state/local/payer requirements and that documentation reflects the care provided and meets company, regulatory and payer standards
- Cover after hours, weekends, and holiday Admin on call to meet the needs of patients
- Requisition and management of equipment and supplies required to increase the client’s function and independence as appropriate to care
- Demonstrate teaching skills and continued competence in therapeutic interventions for all levels of complexity in patient care
- Administrative Supervision of weekend clinical staff
- Instruct patient/caregivers of the safety measures appropriate to care
- Recognition of changes in patient status and reporting appropriately
- Provide clear, concise, and complete reporting of patient status in compliance with agency and regulatory standards
- Review documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards
- Demonstration of proficiency in OASIS documentation including timeframes and response accuracy
- Report all incidents per agency and regulatory standards
- Follows policies and procedures according to agency, state, and regulatory standards
- Functions within the Nursing Scope of Practice and Nurse Practice Act
- Attends and participates in staff meetings, patient care conferences, in-services and other meetings as requested
- Maintain confidentiality of patient related information and honor patient rights
Qualifications
- Degree in Nursing from an accredited school
- Valid license from the state practicing in
- Current CPR certification
- Prior home care experience preferred

- General knowledge of computers and the ability to learn industry specific software applications
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
