About the role
As an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you'll help patients improve their ability to safely perform everyday activities while promoting independence in the home environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver occupational therapy services in patients' homes
- Complete initial evaluations and follow-up visits
- Perform fall risk assessments and home safety evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (OT)
- Auxiliary in treatment interventions established by the supervising OT (COTA)
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment
- Maintain patient progress and communicate changes with the interdisciplinary team
- Accurately document clinical findings
Qualifications
- Occupational Therapist: Active Hawaii Occupational Therapist license, minimum one year of clinical experience, home health experience preferred but not required
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant: Active Hawaii Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license, minimum one year of clinical experience preferred
- Both positions: Strong communication and documentation skills, comfort with community outreach and educational presentations, valid driver's license and reliable transportation, ability to work independently while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team
Pay
$80 per visit for Occupational Therapists (OT), annual salary option: $110,000–$120,000 (based on caseload) for OTs, $60 per visit for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
