About the role

Assesses, plans, organizes, and participates in rehabilitative programs designed to improve functional mobility, relieve pain, correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury, and enhance vocational and daily living skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers.
  • Supervises and assumes responsibility for care provided by identified team members.
  • Performs modalities/therapeutic interventions in accordance with accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures.
  • Provides effective instruction to the patient and family through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training.
  • Initiates, develops, and maintains collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and family members to improve patient outcomes.
  • Operates productively and efficiently in daily operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (Required)
  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy (Preferred)
  • Occupational Therapist Certification or License (Required)

Qualifications

Experience providing age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers, supervising and assuming responsibility for care provided by team members, performing therapeutic interventions, and initiating collaborative interactions.
