Pride Health is hiring a Home Health Occupational Therapist to support patients in Bourne, MA. This is a 3-month local contract assignment with the possibility of extension or conversion.
About the Role
This position is a great opportunity to work with a top-tier healthcare organization, providing occupational therapy services to patients in their homes. Coverage includes Bourne territories, the South Shore of Massachusetts (Plymouth, Kingston, Carver), the South Coast (Wareham to Seekonk), and Cape Cod (Bourne, Sandwich, Mashpee, and Falmouth).
Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs related to functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home assessments, adaptive equipment, and other occupational therapy needs as defined by medical conditions.
- Provide services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws, in accordance with the plan of care, using evidence-based techniques, and in coordination with other members of the healthcare team.
- Evaluate the patient's functional status, status of all body systems as required for CMS documentation, and occupational therapy needs.
- Consult with the physician in the development of the therapy plan of care.
- Observe, record, and report to the nurse supervisor and the physician the patient's response to treatment and changes to the patient's condition.
- Conduct patient assessments evaluating the level of function by applying diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests.
Requirements
- Current Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
Pay
$48-54/hr (W2), based on experience.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (5 days per week).
Mileage reimbursement provided from first patient to last patient.
