About the role

As the Home Health Aide or CNA, you will provide patients with in-home personal care and designated health related services to maintain the patient's physical and emotional well being.

Responsibilities

  • Provide or assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing in bed, tub or shower
  • Care of hair including shampoo, combing and brushing
  • Care of teeth and mouth including denture care
  • Nail care, filing only
  • Skin care including peri care and applying lotion
  • Transfer of patient from bed to chair and to wheelchair
  • Transfer of patients on and off bedpan, commode and toilet
  • Report observations of the client's condition to the agency director or accounts manager
  • Drive safely, comply with traffic regulations, and wear a seat belt when business travel is required
  • Assist with household tasks directly essential to clients' personal care
  • Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client

Requirements

  • Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transportation

Qualifications

  • State-Specific Requirements:
    • TX: Must have a minimum of one-year full-time experience in direct client care in hospital or nursing facility, OR one year full-time experience within last 5 years in direct client care in agency setting, OR documented completion of training and competency evaluation program with home health experience within the last 24 months, OR documented completion of competency evaluation program with home health experience within the last 24 months, OR nursing student with documentation from director of programs or the dean of a school of nursing that states that the individual is a nursing student who has demonstrated competency in basic nursing skills aligned with the school's curriculum, OR be on Texas Department of Human Services (DHS's) Nurse Aide Registry with no findings of client abuse or neglect or misappropriation of client property. Must NOT be listed on the Employee Misconduct Registry, been revoked on the Nurse Aide Registry, or had a criminal conviction as listed in Health and Safety Code Chapter 250.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
  • 6+ months of home care experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours and independently

Pay

The hourly pay for this role will range from $14.00 to $23.50 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
