About the role
All About Home Care is a Houston-based home health care agency founded in 2004. We provide quality home health services across the South West of Greater Houston, including Katy, Missouri City, Sugar Land, Richmond, Rosenberg, Fresno and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and effective care to the sick and elderly.
- Takes accurate temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Performs simple procedures as an extension of the therapy service as directed.
- Follows Universal Precautions and washes hands before and after the care of each patient.
- Completes all work assignments, turns notes in as required by Agency policy.
- Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures of the Agency.
- Adheres to Agency standards and consistency interprets and accurately performs all assigned responsibilities.
- Maintains acceptable attendance status.
- Reports incomplete work assignments to the RN.
- Appears clean and well-groomed.
- Demonstrates effective time management skills through daily documentation.
- Attends position related in-service, case conferences, and staff meetings.
- Attends all mandatory in-service programs as scheduled.
- Receives a minimum of 12 hours of in-service per calendar year (based on date of employment).
- Maintains clean and neat work environment.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and decision making.
- Collaborates with RN to coordinate care and report changes in the patient’s condition.
- Maintains current CPR.
- Participates in the Agency’s QAPI meetings.
Qualifications
- Have a sympathetic attitude towards the care of the sick.
- Be able to read, write, and comprehend English.
- Be able to carry out directions.
- Has a valid CNA certification in the state of Texas.
- Experience in performing home health skilled visits.
- Show a high level of maturity and be able to deal effectively with demands of the job.
- Not be listed in the Nurse Aide Registry for misconduct.
- Not convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor as evidenced by a criminal history check.
