Home Health Aide-Virginia Requires C.N.A. License

About the role

As a Home Health Aide at Amedisys, you will provide compassionate care to patients in their homes, assisting with daily activities and medication management.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene and grooming
• Help patients with meal preparation and nutrition
• Monitor and record patient health data
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Support patients with mobility and transportation needs
• Engage with patients to promote emotional support and companionship

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (for some locations)
• Pass a background check and drug screening
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or related field preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and ability to handle sensitive situations

Skills

• Basic computer skills
• First aid and CPR certification (preferred but not required)
