Pediatric Nursing Specialists of Indiana (PNS) is a home care and home health agency dedicated to providing comprehensive support for infants, pediatrics, adults, and seniors. Responsibilities
- Perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy services under the direction and supervision of the therapist.
- Range of motion exercises
- Ambulation or exercises assistance
- Provide personal care activities, including bathing, shampooing, skin care, nail care, oral hygiene, shaving, dressing, meal preparation, feeding, laundry, and light housekeeping.
- Assist in medication administration under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
- Report any observed or reported changes in the client's condition and/or needs to the Registered Nurse.
- Document care provided and complete forms required for the client's records.
- Promote personal safety and a safe environment for clients by observing infection control practices and reporting unsafe situations to the Supervisor/Case Manager.
- Demonstrate safe practice in the use of equipment and notify the supervisor of educational needs.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary team through verbal reports, participation in staff meetings, and team conferences.
- Treat patients and families with respect and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Accept and fulfill assignments with the agency and participate in required in-service programs to meet compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Must be listed and in good standing on the Indiana State Aide Registry.
- Meet Indiana's training and/or certification requirements, including successful completion of a formal certification training program and/or a written skills test and competency evaluation, and specifications of contracted agencies for which services are being provided.
- Home care experience and/or credentials (CHHA, CNA, STNA) are desirable, but 1+ years of paid experience or commitment to building a caregiver career with our agency are encouraged.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current driver's license or valid state ID, and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to consent to a background check, including a criminal record check, and an employment and education verification.

Pay
HHA Hourly: $16 - $17
Pay is based on experience, specializations and credentials, availability, geographies served, and overall fit.
Schedule
- Long-term employment for part-time and full-time Home Health Aides.
- 20-40 hours per week (M-F).
- Additional hours in evenings and weekends (if desired).
- Full-time employees have the option to start with part-time hours and first priority to add additional clients/shifts for up to 40 hours per week (if desired).
- Flexible shift times: weekdays, weeknights, overnight, weekends, and hybrid shifts available.
- No on-call shifts, weekends, extensive travel distances, or overtime (when not desired).
Location
We serve clients in and around Indianapolis, IN, including metro Indianapolis and other cities throughout Marion County.
