Pediatric Nursing Specialists of Indiana (PNS) is a home care and home health agency dedicated to providing comprehensive support for infants, pediatrics, adults, and seniors. Responsibilities

  • Perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy services under the direction and supervision of the therapist.
    • Range of motion exercises
    • Ambulation or exercises assistance
  • Provide personal care activities, including bathing, shampooing, skin care, nail care, oral hygiene, shaving, dressing, meal preparation/feeding, laundry, and light housekeeping.
  • Assist in medication administration under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
  • Report any observed or reported changes in the client's condition and/or needs to the Registered Nurse.
  • Document care provided and complete required forms for client records.
  • Promote personal safety and a safe environment by observing infection control practices, following agency guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to the Supervisor/Case Manager.
  • Demonstrate safe practice in the use of equipment and notify the supervisor of educational needs.
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary team through verbal reports, participation in staff meetings, and team conferences.
  • Treat patients and families with respect and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
  • Accept and fulfill assignments with the agency and participate in required in-service programs to meet compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be listed and in good standing on the Indiana State Aide Registry.
  • Meet Indiana's training and/or certification requirements, including successful completion of a formal certification training program and/or a written skills test and competency evaluation.
  • Have home care experience and/or credentials (CHHA, CNA, STNA) or 1+ years of paid experience.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Hold a high school diploma or GED.
  • Pass a background check and have current driver's license or valid state ID with reliable transportation.
  • Be willing to consent to a background check, including a criminal record check, and an employment and education verification.

Pay

HHA Hourly: $16 - $17

Schedule

Long-term employment for part-time and full-time Home Health Aides. Available 20-40 hours per week (M-F), with additional hours in evenings and weekends (if desired). Full-time employees have the option to start with part-time hours and first priority to add additional clients/shifts for up to 40 hours per week (if desired).

Location

We serve clients in central southern Indiana, including Bloomington, Franklin, Columbus, Seymour, Washington, Evansville, and other communities.
