Home Health Aide - Now Hiring - Summit County

About the role

We help older adults live at home by providing personal care and companionship. The work is physical—you're on your feet most of the day and help people move around. No medical tasks are required; those are handled by nurses.

Responsibilities

• Assist with baths and personal hygiene
• Help clients get dressed
• Prepare and serve meals
• Perform light cleaning and household chores
• Run errands and provide companionship
• Assist clients with mobility and movement

Qualifications

• STNA license (active or expired) – $18/hour, ready in 1‑3 days
• HHA certificate (30+ hours) – $16‑18/hour, 5‑8 days training
• 1+ year experience under an RN or LPN – $16‑18/hour, 5‑8 days verification
• No experience – free training pathway – $16/hour, 1‑2 weeks

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle with insurance covering work driving
• Pass background checks
• Work at least 20 hours per week
• Availability between 6 AM and 8 PM (most shifts 8 AM‑5 PM)
• Legal right to work in the United States
• At least 18 years of age

Pay

• STNA license: $18/hour
• HHA certificate or relevant experience: $16‑18/hour (based on interview)
• Free training pathway: $16/hour
• Paid every 2 weeks via direct deposit (W‑2)
• 10 % holiday premium
• Performance raises and bonuses

Schedule

Shifts are available from 6 AM to 8 PM, with most work occurring between 8 AM and 5 PM. Minimum commitment is 20 hours per week.
